She Landed With a Thud!

Before I knew what was happening, September turned into October!  How can that be?  Time is flying past me so quickly, I feel most times, like I'm accomplishing very little.

The drywall project has stalled. Glenn and I are becoming so completely aware that he is 64, and I am 55, by how long it takes us to recuperate from working on projects.  Throw any snag into the picture and we could be down a week or more.  That happened to me this past week.

Last Tuesday evening was one of Ethan's T-ball games.  I only squatted to hug my two little granddaughter's as they ran up to me, and down went the ship!  Not just to my rear, but on my back as well.  How embarrassing! Right in front of the other spectators!

That moment felt like a year.  I was so anxious to get back up and forget the nightmare, only my body wouldn't let me.  For a lot of this past week I have been gingerly walking.  Goodness, I must be really out of shape, but landing on rocks didn't help either! So last night Glenn and I conceded to hiring someone to complete the remainder of the project.  At least, for now, that is the plan.

While I have been recouping, Glenn has been working in his wood shop, cleaning up the pool in preparation of closing it up, and spending a lot of time serving at the church repairing or helping with things there.  I played in the kitchen a little and kept up with the menagerie of our home zoo. (Did I mention we're fish owners now?!  Only wish we could keep them alive!)
